The various RR signals, bridges and other points you'll hear on the stream are also annotated on the map. The map can be displayed on your monitor or downloaded as its in .pdf format. Bring it along on your next Railfan trip to the area. The equipment used is built around a high quality, Icom IC-R7000 VHF/UHF receiver feeding the RR audio computer VIA a Radio Shack #270-054 Ground Loop Isolator. This isolates and DC path between the radio and computer, virtully eliminating any hum to provide you the cleanest possible audio. The antenna is a "J-Pole" at approximately 40' elevation fed with RG-213. I may change the antenna to something else, looking for a model with 6db of gain which will focus the "H-Plane Beamwidth" a bit more toward the horizon yet not suffer from "shadowing" issues associated with most 9db gain base antennas.
