The Terminal Trainmaster / "Hump General" handles the overall coordination of routine activity. The Train Director, also located in the hump tower lines electric switches and yard signals and gives instructions to movements in the receiving and departure yards, on and off the engine pit, and at the north end of the key yard. The Hump Tower Yardmaster provides instructions to inbound and outbound trains and in the bowl yard. The Trim Tower Yardmaster overseas the trim yard and north end of the bowl in conjunction with the Hump General Yardmaster. The Industrial Yardmaster provides instruction to crews in the industrial yard, June Street, Springdale, Decoursey, and St. Joe. There is a ramp manager in charge of movements at the Intermodal Terminal. NS Gest Street Yard Gest Street Yard is directed by the yardmaster at DI Tower. All inbound and outbound trains will contact him for instructions. The Yardmaster also provides protection for the Intermodal Terminal (Pig Yard). NS Sharon Yard Sharon Yard is directed by the yardmaster at Sharonville during the day. On night and weekends, yardmaster duties are tended to by Moraine Yard in Dayton. |
