Welcome to the Bakersfield/Tehachapi Area Stream.

The Bakersfield/Tehachapi stream covers all of the Bakersfield area. Currently we are using a new Motorola CDM1550 tied to a Win98 machine and a outdoor Log Periodic TrainTenna from DPD Productions (See the stream forum for more details on this high gain, directional antenna!) remotely connected via wireless Linksys network.

This list of frequencies is what we're currently listening to. DS 54 controls trains from Bakersfield up through the loop. DS 73 handles the line north from Bakersfield. BNSF's Bakersfield Sub dispatcher controls the lines from Kern Jct north. SJVR handles all of the branchline traffic for UP and BNSF.

• 160.320 AAR Ch14 Bakersfield to Mojave DS 54
• 161.550 AAR Ch96 Bakersfield to Fresno DS 73

• 307.7 (UP Bakersfield)
• 318.8 (UP Edison)
• 328.6 (UP Bena) **
• 347.0 (UP) **
• 363.8 (UP) **
• 900.0 (BNSF - Talk on Defect only)

** = Heard when RF conditions are favorable

• 160.935 AAR Ch59 Kern Jct to Fresno BNSF Bakersfield Sub

SJVR Road frequency:

• 159.660 Note! SJVR recently changed their frequency in the valley. The new radio has this freq added to it.

We may be adding more channels to the radio as we go. The new radio has almost all the ARR channels programmed.
