How the Stream Works

This scanner stream runs under Windows XP on a 233 mhz machine with 128 megs of ram. The software is Shoutcast Source v1.8.2b running as a Winamp plugin. The machine is on a wireless network. Shoutcast makes a direct connection to the RailRoadRadio.Net server in California via DSL. At present the radio is a Motorola MCX 1000 coupled to a TrainTenna antenna mounted at about 40 ft.
